We're a little family from London who make weekly movies
all while trying to keep a small human alive
We've found ourselves on a journey with our videos; each week we try to push further into the unknown & explore our new lives as first time parents.
We want our family movies to show there is
more to life on this rock than
rigid formats, conflict and drama,
that beauty can be found even in the most seemingly insignificant moments in life.
As creators we're constantly striving to make movies that push us creatively but also have honesty & integrity at their heart.
We want to create a legacy for our son and something that resonates with the few people who watch us.
We've been given a small spotlight, which we use to highlight what we feel are some of the most important moments in life.
This isn't a business, a way TO BUY STUFF WE DON'T NEED. this is about seeing how far we can
RAISE OUR PERSONAL BAR, TO GIVE OUR Son something money can't buy.
When we walk out of our house as a family we never leave with less than 8 cameras, multiple lenses and a drone. These are what we use to capture our adventures, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Once we've got the shots, that's when the real work begins.
We'll often spend hours each week trying to find the perfect music to complement our shots. By using signed musicians we forfeit any ad revenue on the videos, so to make our YouTube activities sustainable we have to diversify.
Each vlog style video we produce can take anywhere up to 72 hours to produce, edit and upload, meaning very long hours, late nights and lots and lots of coffee.
As we make very little to no ad revenue on our videos, we have to fund our creative output via other means. Between us we have set up several businesses, including a boutique makeup bag and print company MaggsLondon.co.uk, and a social wishlist tech startup site called Wantfeed.com. We're also lucky enough to be working with some amazing sponsors, who help to make all this possible.
We also have the very best community on YouTube, who give us all the encouragement we need to keep going and to venture ever further out of our comfort zone.
The four people who make all this work
Hannah started off as a blogger, and then trained as a makeup artist before she first picked up the camera.
Stefan was previously a video journalist for Bauer Media, before leaving to focus on his tech startup business, Wantfeed.com, and his family’s YouTube videos.
Grayson is two and, like most two-year-olds, makes a mess, gets very emotional, loves cars, hates going to bed and is yet to figure out how to relax a bit.
Lauren is our manager, we love her.
She’s the one that keeps everything on track and makes sure we can keep doing what we love.
